Secure Vehicle Registration (SVR)
   
       

 

     

SVR is a “turnkey" solution for vehicle electronic registration, identification, authentication and control integrated by an RFID/visual-ID Label, RFID Hardware and system software. The main features include:

  • each label inventories and controls status at all times
  • label UID management for validation prior to application
  • data processing and storage in the label
  • interfacing with other systems to send and receive information for each label
  • portable RFID devices for inspections and validations, in the field
  • web-based reporting and consulting tools
 

SVR main applications are: vehicle registration and licensing, border crossing, imports, emissions, duties and tax collection, fleet management, etc.

SVR will interrelate with all vehicle ID elements making it extremely
difficult to brake the system.

     
 

1. Tag or Label: The SRT or Secure Registration Tag integrates an RFID transponder, a holographic photopolymer and a serial number printed on the back. With the use of such elements the TAG allows:

  • Identification and visual validation (authentication) – Proprietary 3D imaging technologies including overt and covert security features. Its singularity, industrial secrets and patents along with a controlled supply chain , makes it the only one in its class.
  • Information storage – Integrates an RFID transponder with capabilities of receiving, storing, transmitting information.
  • Electronic reading and validation (authentication) – Depending of the application, the information may be “signed” and encrypted for protection, secure reading and authentication.
2. Hardware: Fixed or portable readers/writers, that can write information to the tag to be verified in the future. Through our research and development activities, we’ve identified and integrated the best hardware for our solutions. Nevertheless, it’s flexible enough to be able to integrate other devices that make it suitable for other applications.  
     
 
3. Software: Developed by AR under strict quality methodologies and controls as well as the industry’s best practices. Our software handles the system information, security through algorithms, encryption, and the hardware control. It also handles the communications and remote access (networks, Internet, Wi-Fi and GSM), as well as interfaces with other systems.
     
4. Stability, compatibility and flexibility: The system and its components integration are designed using these three concepts. Its reliability in complex and mission-critical applications as well as its ease of integration with other software solutions are the result of these characteristics.  

5. Security: The main goal in terms of security and authentication is to successfully identify and authenticate a vehicle and to determine the direct relationship with the action or purpose related to the use of the Tag. To achieve this goal the SVR incorporates 3 fundamental security features:

  • Informatics security and information transmission security.
  • Tags visual security and authentication
